We visited The Mount late on a Sunday afternoon after having a Sunday roast across the road at the Jolly Gardeners. We only stopped in for a few drinks and, with the football on, it was understandably very busy inside. Fortunately, the weather was fantastic, so we headed out to the terrace instead. What a great spot! The views are fantastic and the outdoor terrace is definitely the highlight, especially on a warm, sunny day. We had a really enjoyable visit and would certainly recommend The Mount if you’re in the area. For me, it’s a must-visit when the sun is shining — grab a drink, sit outside and enjoy the views! Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £10–20

We had our wedding reception at The Mount Inn in Chester on the 14th of March 2026, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the very beginning, the team made us feel completely at ease. On the day itself, the venue looked absolutely beautiful — everything was set up perfectly and created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere for us and all of our guests. The staff were incredible throughout: friendly, professional, and always on hand to help with anything we needed. They made sure everything ran smoothly so we could just relax and enjoy every moment of our special day. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. Thank you to everyone at The Mount Inn for helping to create such a perfect and unforgettable wedding reception.
