Mouragio makes solidly good Cretan-Greek food and a number of items outside that sphere (like burgers, pizza, fish & chips). The food is really good, particularly the Cretan-Greek specialities and the grilled plates (gyros, souvlaki). What makes Mouragio stand out to me is you feel like you are eating home cooking by a favorite relative. The family welcome you and shares friendliness and hospitality in a way that makes you feel very special. All this and stunning sea views. I highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: Good number of salads, omelettes, and platters without meat. Also if you are pescatarian, Crete is your paradise. Kid-friendliness: I have yet to see any restaurant in Crete that isn’t kid-friendly and family-oriented. Mouragio is no different. Parking: Very close to the beach parking area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €5–10
