Seriously great Mexican food. Excellent experience. The chef really cares about bringing his heritage to you plate (and your heart *small tear*).. The night we were there had an incredible atmosphere, live band and smiling sweat dancing people. As a caveat.. I rarely like any "mexican" restaurants here in Australia. But, Mr Jalapeno hit me with authentic flavourful goodness. Thank you Mr Jalapeno...you have have saved the village!

The best Mexican food we've had in ages, great service and fantastic atmosphere. The owner came over, sat and chatted with us and made us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Cairns.

Nice Mexican food, but it was a bit hard to find at first - Google Maps said we were there but it looked like a live music venue (hint: it's the same venue!) it was only after spotting a small business card attached to a chalk board that we realised we were there. The serving size was huge, which is a bonus - but oddly no sangria on the menu. The food was a little cold, but this may have been due to the large amount of guacamole on the meal - which is fine, as the serving was very generous and great value for money.
