Hands down the best bread in town! Love picking up a loaf to bring to friends and can never leave without getting a treat for myself. Delicious pastries and seasonal options that keep me checking in frequently. We buy the gluten free sourdough on repeat, perfect for our household. Looks like they sell wine now too. Need to try! Friendly staff and wonderful owners Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One-Star Experience at M's Bakery (Old Mill District): Mediocre, Overpriced, and Borderline Rude If you're craving a $7 pile of dry bread masquerading as a ham and cheese croissant, M's Bakery is your spot. My partner ordered one—what he got was 90% puffed dough, a ghost of cheese, and a single lonely sliver of ham. Calling it “ham and cheese” is generous; “bread roll with vague meaty aspirations” is more accurate. I ordered a mocha that tasted like… well, disappointment. It was essentially hot milk—barely a trace of coffee, and absolutely no chocolate flavor whatsoever. We watched the staff serve two to-go drinks in for-here mugs, and when those customers pointed it out, they were told to “go fix it themselves” at the self-serve station. That’s not casual charm—it’s just bad service. No non-fat milk options. Oat milk came with an upcharge, even though it costs the same as regular milk in stores. You’re not serving luxury—stop pretending you are. And when we politely asked if the croissants could be warmed, we got a shrug and a “We don’t do that.” No excuse in food service for refusing such a simple, reasonable request. M’s Bakery seems to be banking on foot traffic and the Old Mill location to distract from subpar food, uninspired drinks, and service that feels like an afterthought. We noticed.
