I was pretty devastated when I realized Mt Fuji has been closed down and Epicure City BOM has been open in it's place. Thankfully, I saw they still had my favorite sashimi (now salmon) bibimbap available. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The space remains the same: small, tiny, and crowded. You can't seat a lot of people or have big parties here. I think their biggest table seats 8. They did upgrade the interior. The tables have a marble finish and the chairs are new so the restaurant has a very new, clean vibe. FOOD: 2/5 1. Sashimi (Salmon) Bibimbap I was so excited to come back for the dish that got me my ROTD a few years ago. However, it was somewhat disappointing. Because they only serve salmon (and cut out tuna) it didn't have the same complexity. I also feel like they reduced the portion sizes and it wasn't as filling as I remembered. They still serve purple rice with it (yum) - but it was a light, healthy meal instead of the satisfying one I wanted. 2. Salmon Bibimbap I was slightly worried ordering the salmon as everybody else raved about the bulgogi. The salmon came out in 3 nice, big, grilled pieces. The thing that's astounding is the limited amount of rice they give you. I thought they'd give me the rice on the side as what was in the bowl at first glance was very little (the rice was hidden beneath the veggies). I felt like the pot wasn't hot enough or my rice was really watery as only little pieces of my rice hardened even when I left it to 'roast'. *I love the red sauce that comes along with the bibimbap and I almost drown my rice in it. SERVICE: 5/5 The waitress who serves the whole restaurant was very competent. My friends were unfortunately very indecisive and likes to change their rice or ask for egg on the side or change  their orders. She was very patient and got everything we ordered right. *Bumped in another star just for her. OVERALL: 3/5 I think this restaurant has changed drastically since the ROTD. The food is average and nothing wowed me here. This is a solid choice if you're looking for something simple. But I'd go to Japango for my sashimi don from now on.
