Decor more upmarket with a lounge club vibe. Very pleasant. Lovely air-conditioning, which is certainly a bonus in the tropics. The service - the waitron staff did their best, but unfortunately didn't live up to the atmosphere of the place. (Perhaps inexperienced). The waiter did his best, trying to accommodate our menu and drinks requests. The food - the kitchen definitely needs better management. A simple dish, found in almost every Mozambican Restaurant was too complicated, and the kitchen wasn't able to make it. (Chicken with tomato and onion sauce and a side of boiled potatoes and vegetables. They were willing to offer the boiled potatoes, or salad, and they weren't able to make the tomato and onion sauce .... something about the tomatoes not being ripe enough. They were absolutely fine, if they were what came with the salad.) Management needs to rethink their menu and try find some speciality dishes that the restaurant could claim to be known for. The chicken was well prepared. The drinks - very expensive. Unfortunately no wine by the glass available, and no lemon to complete the Gin and Tonic. With the vibe and ambiance being more upmarket ... they really need to up their game. Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
