One of my favorite places in Tosmur. The best thing on the menu is actually the freshly baked warm bread straight from the oven. It comes with the dips usually served as a starter, but I often order it with a glass of wine in the afternoon. I haven’t found bread this good anywhere else in Alanya. The quality has been consistently excellent for years, and the owner is remarkable. Even if you only visit once a year, he still remembers you. I’m convinced he could have had a successful career in facial recognition technology. A wonderful place with great food, warm hospitality, and one that keeps me coming back every year. I came here feeling really hungry and did leave feeling very satisfied. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed sat in the sunshine. I chose the chicken mushroom meal which came with rice and chips. It might have been nicer to have had one or the other and then more salad instead. The rice was traditional Turkish rice and the mushroom sauce was really delicious although they could’ve been a bit more to dip the chips in the tomatoes and cooked carrot were a lovely touch. The only thing that let this meal down was the chips. I could taste that the oil was old that they had used to cook them. It would’ve been really delicious to have made these with lovely fresh oil. They tasted a bit burnt as well I would’ve served slightly more rice got rid of the chips and put some more salad on there. The waiter was really kind and patient with my rubbish Turkish a little bit slow to notice when I needed things but all in all I had a really nice experience and enjoyed it very much. It is a shame that they didn’t do desserts, as I would’ve stayed there to have dessert too but ended up going across the road to the patisserie. I think it was seven or 800 lira a bit expensive but to be fair I had such a nice time. I didn’t mind paying that for the tasty chicken, thank you very much.
