Delicious food, friendly staff, great location and decor. The tables and facilities were clean and food came out very fast. Many thanks to the kind owners for accommodating our son and providing him utensils too. Super tasty, number 1 food in Japan for us so far. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you ever find yourself in Gujo-Hachiman, Murata is the little gem you absolutely cannot miss! This cozy, family-run restaurant may be small, but every dish that comes out of their kitchen is packed with big, unforgettable flavor. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can truly taste the love in every bite. We ordered a variety of dishes—each one delicious—but four stood out as some of the BEST we’ve ever had: Fried Gyoza – perfectly crispy outside, bursting with juicy flavor inside. Dry Flat Yellow Noodles – simple, aromatic, and so addictive. Stir-Fried Pork Liver with Mixed Vegetables – fresh, savory, tender perfectly cooked pork livers and expertly seasoned. But the star of the entire meal? The smoky aroma from the high-heat wok and the deep flavor from a well-seasoned pan make this dish absolutely unforgettable. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
