Losing a beloved parent is never easy, but on the day of my father’s memorial, your team eased the burden. Jordan was so caring, thoughtful, quick and efficient. He made sure that everyone felt welcome. No drink went empty, no friend or family member was without food.
The teammates that also served us were also up to the task - and with a similar level of grand hospitality.
We enjoyed some great memories over the years here. In a moment of huge importance, so many other places would have left us feeling like just another forgotten patron. You all shined. Thank you to Jordan and your entire team. Our greatest appreciation.
The service at Murphy's North is fine with a four-top or less, but the service seems to deteriorate significantly with a larger table (this has been my experience for the past six years or so). I was recently with a group of people and I had the most negative experience I have ever had at Murphy's. Our server (Eve A.) kept trying to pawn our table off on other servers resulting in botched food orders and her poor attitude worsening. The restaurant was moderately busy, but in no way was it slammed, as there were plenty of open tables. Eve A. was incredible rude and hurried with our table seeming burdened by us. Perhaps since she was guaranteed a 20% tip since we were a party of 6+ people she could have cared less. As a side note, the mandatory tip was not calculated pre-tax, which seems to me to be a tasteless business practice since most people tip on tax anyway. As a former server, I try to be patient and understanding, but the server's behavior was utterly uncalled for -- I will be spending my money elsewhere for a while.
