In the heart of Notting Hill, My Sheesh is a fine dining spot that offers delicious Turkish cuisine with a warm and authentic hospitality. The establishment's interior design exudes a cozy atmosphere with ethnic music playing in the background. The prices are a bit above average, but the portions are generous, leaving patrons full and satisfied. The lamb doner, grilled sea bass with chips and salad, and chicken sheesh are some of the must-try dishes on the menu. For drinks, the Turkish Ayran and Turkish tea are highly recommended. The service is superb, with friendly and attentive staff who make customers feel special. In addition, My Sheesh offers outdoor seating for those who want to enjoy their meal al fresco. Overall, My Sheesh is a gem in Notting Hill that promises an unforgettable experience for anyone looking to indulge in Turkish cuisine.
The restaurant is now Malaysian restaurant called Layang Layang. It was a tad disappointing as it wasnt very spicy, infact it was very mild and too dilute. They used linguine pasta for yellow noodles as well which did not appeal much to me. Still its a very new restaurant and hopefully will get better as the days go by.
My Sheesh is a delightful Turkish restaurant in Notting Hill! Best to make reservations if you have a party of 5 or more persons, although they do take walk-ins. We were a party of 5 and requested to sit upstairs, which was much more spacious than their ground floor sitting area, the space upstairs is definitely suited for small gatherings and parties. A family run restaurant, with a husband and wife team, that exudes warm and authentic Turkish hospitality. I had the Grilled Sea Bass with Chips and Salad, and it was delicious and well presented. Was too excited to dig in and forgot to take pics! Service was excellent and the meals came with complimentary Turkish bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar as dips. They also provided an assortment of dips and condiments for our meals. For drinks, I had the Turkish Ayran, which is like a Salted Lassi. They also have Turkish tea/coffee, and Baklava for dessert. My Sheesh is the perfect place to immerse yourself with Turkish cuisine and hospitality! Thank you! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
