My Way Tavern is quite a cool spot in Raleigh. I met up with a new friend here around a week and a half ago, and I liked the restaurant’s vibes. It’s noisy inside, but the atmosphere and interior make for an enjoyable dining experience. My new friend was the one who suggested this place for a meetup, and her suggestion did not disappoint. The Tavern Nachos as an appetizer were so good! We shared them amongst ourselves, but I couldn’t get enough of them. The nachos could’ve simply been the entrée, and I’d have been happy, LOL. My real entrée was the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken didn’t taste different from what I had eaten at home, but it was delicious. I’d say I dug the fries most, as their texture and firmness were very satisfying. My new friend LOVES the Mac & cheese at My Way, and she let me try her Baby Back Mac during our visit. I liked it and understood why she liked it. Though I’d have to order my own dish before I start raving about it. That’s for a future visit, though. Speaking of which, I’d go to this place again to try other menu options. Some menu items are a little pricey, but nothing truly exorbitant given current conditions. Plus, the wait staff was friendly and worked efficiently. I appreciated how they checked on even the tables they weren’t assigned. The only thing is that we could’ve received our check a little sooner after having our plates taken away, although the wait time for placing an order after sitting was short. They also checked on us a sufficient number of times during our visit.
