Oh Naia, absolutely beautiful aesthetic and location. We did a Friday dinner date here and the service is utterly atrocious. The rice that comes with the steak came 30 min before the steak, they forgot our desert for 20 min, the steak was raw twice despite ordering medium and sending it back the first time.. type of thing. The front of the house and back def need to figure out flow. However, the falafel, spicy feta and the banana ice cream were delicious. BUT THE TURKISH DUMPLINGS are worth returning solely for it. Ordering for the table is a must. The smoked cinnamon carajillo was a 8/10! The vibes are cool, a little bit uncle central but cool. Getting a res was easy for me somehow. Easily accessible. Morgawna, thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere, location, cocktails, and several of the dishes—especially the Turkish Dumplings, Falafel, Spicy Feta, and Banana Ice Cream. We'll be sure to share your compliments with our culinary team. That said, we're very sorry to hear about the service and pacing issues you experienced. Receiving items out of sequence, delays with dessert, and having a steak returned due to improper temperature are not the standards we strive to deliver. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as they help us identify opportunities to improve both front- and back-of-house execution. We'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your visit. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@naiarestaurant.com so we can discuss your experience further. Thank you again for your candid feedback.

Amazing experience! Came for our 3rd anniversary and all of the food was phenomenal. Very accommodating to allergies and our server Wes was extremely attentive to our needs. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Naia feels like it was designed specifically for the question, “Where should we take our out-of-town guests?” The answer is here. Assuming, of course, you can actually get a reservation. The place is enormous, perched right on the Chicago River, and has enough space to host everything from a casual dinner to what appears to be a small diplomatic summit. While the patio gets a lot of attention, don’t overlook the dining room. The river views are just as good from inside, except your meal isn’t dependent on Chicago deciding to unleash wind, rain, or all four seasons simultaneously. The spicy feta is a great place to start, though the menu is refreshingly honest about what you’re signing up for. It has actual heat. A rare case of truth in advertising. We also tried the spicy tuna crispy rice. The Greek lemon-soy sauce was the most interesting part of the dish and almost stole the show from the tuna itself. Next time, I’d probably lean harder into the Mediterranean offerings. The chicken schnitzel was outstanding. I realize schnitzel isn’t the first thing most people associate with Mediterranean cuisine, but this version was juicy, flavorful, and large enough to share with the table. It arrived with an entire supporting cast of sauces, none of which it actually needed. The wagyu beef skewer was similarly confident. Perfectly seasoned, cooked exactly right, and perfectly capable of standing on its own without assistance from the sauce flight. Use them if you’d like. The beef certainly wasn’t asking for help. The charred broccoli was one of the bigger surprises of the evening. It delivered enough flavor to temporarily convince me that ordering vegetables was my idea. Drinks were solid. The Gold Fashioned was excellent, though the ice cube occupied so much real estate that I found myself ordering a second cocktail halfway through dinner. Somewhere, a bartender is calling that efficient upselling. Do not skip dessert. The dark chocolate praline soft serve is absurdly good and arrives in a portion large enough to share. Whether you actually share it is a separate moral question. Between the river views, shareable menu, impressive space, and genuinely excellent food, Naia has earned a permanent spot on the “take visitors here” list. Chicago has plenty of restaurants with great views. Far fewer have food that keeps up with them. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+
