This was somehow $45 of food. Both the steamed rice with chicken and steak was nearly $18 and had dried out rice, dry chicken and steak and as you can see, almost no meat. The crab rangoon was greasy and flavorless. The fried rice with chicken and steak was dry, it also had almost no meat and lacked any seasoning or flavor. Terrible food for an absurdly high price. Will not return here and hope to find another hibachi place with better quality, quantity and, price. Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at NC Japan Express. The food I ordered was not only overcooked but also incredibly bland. My attempt to address this issue by requesting a refund was met with utmost disrespect from Cary. This shocking display of unprofessionalism was aggravated by remarks about my age and the fact that I was with my mother. Instead of handling the situation with sensitivity, she insinuated that my mother hadn't raised me well and labeled me as "too mouthy." Despite our valid concerns, Cary refused to provide a refund and insisted on remaking the food. We tried to explain that this was essentially the same, since she would be throwing away the food we had brought back. This entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth, not only due to the unappetizing food but also because of the appalling customer service.
