Located on Shiroshitacho in Nagoya, Naniwa is a modest eatery that caters to those looking for simple and homely Japanese dishes. Not prominently featured in popular restaurant directories, this establishment maintains a minimal presence online, with limited information available, which might appeal to those who enjoy discovering lesser-known locales.
Naniwa offers dine-in and takeaway options, but don't expect delivery. The quaint spot is known to be particularly favorable for solo diners, although it lacks modern features such as a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking. It's a cash-only place, which is crucial to remember before planning your visit.
The menu centers around traditional favorites like okonomiyaki and yakisoba, dishes that evoke a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Note that recent visitor feedback highlights the budget-friendly prices and differing sauce flavors for each dish. However, it's worth mentioning that the establishment was noted as closed during a visit some months back, and there hasn't been any recent update from the owners.
If you are in the neighborhood and enjoy unassuming spots with nostalgic charm, or in search of a wallet-friendly bite, Naniwa’s Japanese offerings could be worth exploring. However, prospective visitors may want to verify current operational status due to a lack of recent communication from the establishment itself.

Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
