Nestled within the streets of Minaminagasaki, Naruse offers an intimate dining experience centered around Japanese cuisine. Catering primarily to dinner guests, it opens its doors from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Despite its modest size, the restaurant is noted for its cozy and quiet atmosphere, making it an appealing choice for those seeking a relaxed evening out. Planning ahead is advisable as its popularity often necessitates reservations.
The menu at Naruse features a variety of small plates, with alcohol offerings, including beer and sake, enhancing the dining experience. While the focus is on traditional Japanese dishes, the seared eel comes highly recommended by previous patrons, despite some mixed reviews regarding other offerings. Payment is convenient with options such as credit cards and Rakuten Pay. However, visitors may want to keep in mind that the restaurant lacks wheelchair-accessible facilities, while nearby paid street parking is available.
Reservations are recommended to ensure a seamless visit to this local favorite. Considering recent reviews haven’t surfaced in months, prospective diners may want to prepare accordingly and anticipate potential changes. While its location might be a bit removed from central attractions, Naruse is deemed a worthy excursion for those in search of good food. Keep in mind, detailed updates from the management have not been provided recently.

Visited with friends who love drinking. Whatever you eat, it's delicious, and the hostess's recommendations for alcohol are highly recommended. Before I knew it, I was there from opening to closing. We had an extremely pleasant time. The store itself is not large, so make sure to make a reservation before visiting!
