Navat Chaihana is a must-visit in Almaty. Very delicious food with big portions at reasonable prices. The restaurant has beautiful interiors and a very friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended! Thank you!

I came to Navat to try the national dish called Bishbarmak and was not dissapointed. In fact I was blown away. To start I was given a small glass of chalap, fermented milk. A traditional drink, its delicious! Next the friendly server gave me a basket of small fried doughnuts, and they were absolutely delicious. Not sweet nor savory, just lovely puffs of hot bread. I had ordered a glass of compote to accompany my meal and a bottle of sparkling water. When my main dish arrived, it was beautifully presented. The horse meat and noodles in a large shallow dish and the broth separate. The wide flat noodles were amazing, soft and fatty from the broth. The horse meat was full of flavour and tender. I would 100% recommend Navat to anyone visiting the city. Its a chain restaurant so find one close to your accommodations. The total cost of my meal was 7,755KZT.
