The customer service here has a clear double standard. I visited this place three times because it was conveniently located near my home. However, I noticed a significant disparity in how customers are treated based on whether they speak Tigrigna or not. If you speak their language, you’ll receive excellent service, but if you’re Ethiopian or don’t speak Tigrigna, don’t expect much—just be prepared to waste your time and money. The atmosphere in the market is often chaotic, with people chatting loudly and even playing cards. The worst part is the guy working in the kitchen who cuts the meat. He doesn’t bother to greet customers or ask what they’d like to order until his colleague steps in to assist. However, it’s a completely different story when he interacts with customers who speak his language—he suddenly becomes attentive and provides great service. It’s frustrating because my money is just as valuable as anyone else’s, regardless of ethnicity or language. They really need to understand this basic principle and treat all customers equally.
