My partner and I stopped by the hotel bar for a drink to watch the sunset over Monteverde and decided to stay for dinner. We're so glad we did! We started with the ceviche, which was absolutely delicious. The fresh fish in tiger's milk with plantain was perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and every bite was packed with bright, fresh flavor. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta, a dish I order often, and this was one of the best I've had. It had more seafood than pasta, with generous portions of mussels, octopus, and shrimp in a rich, flavorful sauce. A beautiful setting, excellent food, and a memorable experience. I left a very happy camper and can't wait to come back. If you're visiting Monteverde, this is absolutely worth a stop. Price per person: ₡30,000–35,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nectandra is amazing! Every dish felt incredibly intentional. The ingredients were so fresh, and the flavor combinations were unlike anything I'd had before. So delicious. As someone who is gluten-free, I was blown away by how many incredible options there were, including their homemade gluten-free bread, which was absolutely delicious. I simply cannot believe that this restaurant is still a hidden gem! Nectandra has been outstanding in any possible way. Starting with an exceptional Negroni, the by far best Ceviche I’ve had so far in Costa Rica and a very nice Fish-Curry. This restaurant is a must try in Monteverde. Staff is very competent and super friendly. Great Cocktail Menu! Beautiful wine list and local craft beers. Would come back any time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
