My friend,, Lauren and I recently stopped by Neon Moon: Neon Cowboy while visiting from the Dallas–Fort Worth area, and we were blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that Chef Mike has created something really special. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and elevated—true to its “country vibes,” but with a modern, welcoming feel. It’s the kind of place where you can start your morning with coffee and easily find yourself coming back later for cocktails. The blend of Southern and Cajun influences adds a unique touch that sets it apart from your typical café or coffee shop. What really made our visit unforgettable, though, was the customer service. Chef Mike went above and beyond anything we expected. While we had just stopped in for a glass of wine, he surprised us with a slice of his homemade banana bread—and it was absolutely outstanding. That level of hospitality and personal touch is rare, and it made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just like customers. Between the creative menu, the warm and inviting atmosphere, and the exceptional service, Neon Cowboy is truly a gem. How serendipitous to come upon this place while spending time with my elderly mother. We just happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted a little afternoon coffee. We not only found a great coffee shop, but a great restaurant (we ordered the breakfast burrito and it was incredible!) with wonderful service and fantastic food. My mom has Parkinson’s and it has a big impact on how we navigate the world these days but they were patient, kind, and welcoming. A beautiful space run by beautiful people. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section, Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating with dairy and red meat allergies. Really lovely.
