The piquant flavours of the Chinese cuisine attract a number of visitors. Enjoy perfectly cooked wontons, hot & sour soup and fried chicken that are served at this restaurant. You will be offered good bourbon.

At New China, you can order dishes as a takeaway. The positive aspect of this place is that the staff is courteous. Terrific service is something clients appreciate here. Pay adequate prices for eating at this spot. As most reviewers notice, the atmosphere is exotic. But this restaurant is not highly appreciated by Google users who provided it a below average rating.

This is such a pleasant surprise in a place not known for good Chinese food. We gotten takeout twice now, and have been pleased with the care taken. The dishes that should be spicy were actually spicy! Hot and sour soup that makes your lips tingle, Singapore Mei fun that is pungent with curry, and well flavored Kung pao chicken with tons of vegetables, chicken, and peanuts. I did add chili crisp to the Kung pao, because I like it very spicy. We also got shrimp egg foo young, which was also generously filled with shrimp and veg. And the bout and sour soup had so much tofu, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots that it’s almost a meal in itself! We also got crab Rangoon, which is a childhood favorite. This was nicely balanced, with (I assume) surimi and cream cheese, and nicely seasoned. Nothing was greasy, although we got several fried items. Portions were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. What I really appreciated was that they asked if I wanted condiments. I didn’t, because I have them at home, and hate having to toss extras. I love authentic Chinese food, but there’s always a place for well made American Chinese, served by friendly local restaurants. This is our go-to for Chinese takeout in Williamsburg. The food is delicious, and they go the extra mile to protect customers from the spread of COVID-19. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and come with soup and rice, or you can upgrade to lo mein for an extra charge. Our faves are the Hunan Chicken, Spareribs, Chicken and Broccoli, and Orange Chicken. I love the Wonton Soup, and my husband and son are fans of the Hot & Sour. I highly recommend you give New China (located off Monticello in the strip mall with Belk and Bed, Bath, and Beyond) a try very soon.
