This is by far the best restaurant we've visited while in Almancil. We started out with the bread and olives while we browsed the menu. We settled on the grilled Sea Bass and Bream. The grilled fish were superb in freshness and flavor. However, Ricardo (the owner, I think) made all the difference. He came to our table and deboned our fish. Ricardo also visited every table to ensure everyone's satisfaction. This special touch makes all the difference when eating out... it's even more important than the food served. I wish more restaurateurs exercise the same gesture of care. The Fat Frog is definitely worth another visit and all the hype it can get. The service by our waiters was superb and the atmosphere, although casual, but it is very pleasant, especially when seated outside on a cool night.
