I have recently moved back to Shrewsbury and am trying out the so-called "best" restaurants in and around town. Those I have tried have been fine and would return to - other than the one that has just closed, sadly. Yesterday I dined here for Sunday lunch with two others. In my opinion and that of my guests too, this place is head and shoulders above anywhere we have dined so far. An excellent menu; very well designed and the dishes we had were executed perfectly. The scallops were the best Ive ever had and the rib of beef absolutely superb. The chef here certainly knows how to cook at a level Ive only ever experienced from London restaurants. The service was good and the gentleman behind the bar was well-versed in how to deliver a welcome and service. Understandably it comes at a price but you certainly get what you pay for here. Its my definite go-to restaurant for exceptional food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch
