A group of us travelled here, from London, Calne, Bristol and Birmingham, for Sunday lunch. The venue is well presented, and the staff very friendly. The food is generally excellent and the roast meal portion size for meat and veg is large. All round, excellent! The only disappointment was the vegan butternut squash wellington; this contained some squash but mostly other unidentified veg, and didn't taste much like squash alas. So, only four stars because of this, but otherwise it would have easily gained five. Recommended! Went for dinner last night at the New Inn, we are a family of 5. We had a fabulous meal, each one of us were impressed with the food quality. The staff were fantastic and very friendly.
