Tucked away in Sangenjaya, far from the usual tourist routes, New Marco is a hidden gem. This modern, bar-like izakaya has a wonderfully young and local vibe. The three owners provided incredibly warm and attentive service throughout the night. Every dish was inventive and beautifully presented. The spontaneous highlight, however, was the group of locals beside us. Through broken English, Japanese, and Google Translate, they made us feel genuinely welcomed. We left with full hearts, grateful for such an authentic and unforgettable taste of Tokyo's local culture. Price per person: ¥5,000–6,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
