We tripped upon this place during restaurant week last winter during restaurant week. We enjoy the opportunity to find out about and try new venues. We have our favorites in Providence and New Rivers quickly made the list. The past restaurant week we joined them again. Often, the 2nd time at a restaurant is "that was good". New Rivers goes way beyond that was good!! Exceptional is the right word. On point service. Excellent presentation. Generous servings, all crafted with expertise and love. You can feel the attention of the chefs in every bite. The interior is cozy but not crowded. Intimate but not stuffy. Friendly but not overbearing. Comfortable but not cooshie. New Rivers has it figured out. This is the spot for consistent great food and service. I noted this last trip they have a special occasion spot on the 2nd floor, I can imagine a large dinner would be a fabulous treat for your family and guests! Choose New Rivers next restaurant outing on Providence. No disappointments here!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–70

Just wow! We had the sea bass crudo, shishito peppers, lobster pasta, and scallops. Everything was 10/10 and service/ambiance was lovely! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $80–90

4.8/5. A truly unique dining experience, and one of the few places in Providence that can claim actual culinary expertise and deliver on it. With each course I felt like I was in an episode of The Bear, except Beau and Elizabeth are real and their dishes are REALLY good. We started with the halloumi and the rolls. That's when we realized we were somewhere that chefs don't just use their culinary knowledge to serve you food, they use it to make you feel like you're getting something you can't get anywhere else. I've experienced that at a handful of restaurants and a few special household kitchens. The entrees cemented it. I gave them a chance with the burger, thinking it was funny to try a handheld at a place operating at this level. Oddly enough, the fries and the sauce served with it stole the show. It was paired with a delicious pasta dish. We ended with the dark chocolate pot de crème. I'm still at a loss for words that capture how well executed every piece of the cuisine is here.
