I've had a look at several of the other reviews that say it all. A pretentious establishment with mediocre drinks and shockingly rude staff. Would absolutely not recommend.

Myself and 2 friends were recommended night flower punch house for cocktails.We arrived there at 6 knowing we had a meal for 7.30.All 3 of us come from hospitality and have worked in cocktail bars so, we understand expectation.There were 4 tables in use including ourselves out of the 16 (roughly) tables in total and 2 staff (family)members on. We did come in without masks and we understand some establishments will require the use of a mask. However it felt like when we walked through the door, we were snapped at. We brushed this off, being from the hospitality industry we know people have stressful days and although it is no excuse we assumed this was a one time thing.The server came over and explained the punches they had to offer and how the cocktails work. After we had chosen our punches it took 20 minutes for our 3 punches to arrive. I have seen in previous reviews how the use of fresh ingredients can delay the timings. Having been in the industry for many years and working for many bars which also provide fresh ingredients a 20 minute wait with 2 staff (family) and 4 tables is not acceptable timing especially with trained and qualified staff.2 out of the 3 punches were great and the flavors were great, with the 3rd missing the mark (it happens we blame the ingredients not the staff and it may have just not been to our taste)The same woman who snapped on the way in remained just as joyful when we went to leave and my friend asked to take a picture as you have an impressive bar. She sulkily agreed then she once again snapped to not put the flash on to avoid distraction to her cocktail making. We would have not put the flash on regardless as it would have ruined the atmosphere, even so if a flash of a camera is enough to knock your staff off their cocktail making then there needs to be a change.Overall we went in with high expectations and were disappointed. Our male server when we left did then apologize for our wait and was respectful and professional. We had one punch and left at 7.05 (1hr and 5 to have 1 small punch and not even a cocktail).I will go again to give night flower the benefit of the doubt. The service let the place down and the atmosphere came down because of this.Please take these notes as guide to improve and do not rush on the offence. We can only hope the bar learns from this.

Kia ora Kerry, Sorry for the late reply a lot of our crew and myself have been off with Covid and we have been relying on help from the wonderful hopso family of Wellington. There was a sign on the door explaining the situation but as it was a little small, we since replaced it with a larger one. We are very grateful to the people helping us out in the Wellington hospitality scene and jumping behind an unfamiliar bar to make our 300 or so cocktails, hand squeezing ingredients (as far as I know the only bar in Aotearoa that squeezes to order.) without complaint or fuss. Please come again as we are returning to full strength, perhaps give me some notice and I will show you around behind the bar and discuss the whys and hows of the way things are done, maybe share some of your expertise with us. We went to Night Flower last night for a drink to celebrate something special. When we first approached I went to take a look out the window to see if there was room for us whilst my friend spoke to the waiter about having a table for drinks.

Before my friend could even speak, I was told to come back over in the rudest way I could possibly imagine. It instantly made me feel uncomfortable and seemed ridiculously unnecessary.

We were then told we couldn’t come in because we didn’t have masks on. As people who work in hospitality we know that the vaccine pass is optional but we also know customers don’t have to wear masks.

If it is optional then fair enough, but this is not the point. The guy (brown hair, black and white checkered shirt working on 08/06 at around 6:30pm) was so incredibly rude to us as if we were supposed to know they require mask wearing there? No sign on the door? No kindness whats so over. He lost money and customers because of the way he spoke to us. It was vile and I wouldn’t recommend anybody looking forward to the freedom of covid in this place, because he clearly did not want to stop being horrific about the rules. Absolutely disgusted in how he hosted his customers coming through the door.
