Enjoy a drink at Night Hawk

Dan McGeorge Gallery is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this restaurant after long walks. Do not delay your visit – seriously, the Greek cuisine is waiting for you. You will enjoy its food, particularly good greek salads, spaghetti and calamari. It's time to try tasty baklava, watermelon salads and sundaes. Night Hawk will offer you delicious wine, coffee martini or champagne. A lot of visitors order great espresso, bread drink or house punch.

Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. Many visitors point out that the staff is terrific at this place. Spectacular service is something clients appreciate here. This spot offers you a great choice of dishes at affordable prices. The cute decor and lovely atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. But google users haven't given this restaurant a high rating.

Let me just preface that I can understand the mixed reviews. We didn’t have a stellar experience, but it wasn’t lousy either. It is a place that is worth checking out. We had reservations for a birthday brunch on a Sunday at noon. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated and much to my dismay, our server was a drip. Yes, the ambience and atmosphere is 100% a vibe- from the bar, to the fireplace, the man-made beach, the adorable chaise lounges, the statues, the restrooms, waterfalls, luscious greenery, etc. It’s really an incredible setting to enjoy for a couple of hours. Our food did come out fairly quickly. The spinach garlic bread, pomme frites, jungle bird cocktail, and the vanilla bean ice cream complementary birthday dessert are worth mentioning. The rest of the food fell short, like the hummus and chicken kebabs. While the food was merely average, the more frustrating part of the experience was a series of small but telling issues. It’s hard to overlook a restaurant charging $6 for a side of ranch or cocktail sauce, not offering ketchup at all, and somehow having no real protein options available during brunch (unless you want to pay $46 for bagel & lox or $180 for the tomahawk). The brunch menu is basically comprised of mezze, bread, and vegetables, with other offerings like Greek yogurt, French toast, ricotta, and avocado toast. We really wanted some protein and asked for a few chicken kebabs to accompany our Greek salad. Since it’s off-menu during brunch, the kitchen did kindly grant our request. It was very much appreciated, but the tasteless and cold chicken was not worth $10 for each skewer. We were thinking we would get some leafy greens or romaine with the Greek salad, but it’s a true Greek salad that is only made up of tomatoes, cucumber, olives, etc. I would give a 3.5 star rating, but there were a few things that did stand out to bump up to 4 stars. A (presumed) manager greeted us just after being seated and reviewed the cocktail & brunch menu and they did make an exception with the chicken skewers. Also, our birthday girl received a complementary and personalized espresso martini along with the ice cream for dessert. So overall, I would still highly recommend to try Night Hawk at least once. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: Definitely not enough protein items on the brunch menu!

Staff was amazing and went above and beyond for our family! Especially our host Bennet, he went out of his way to get extra coloring pages and stickers for kids that he had personally bought from the dollar store. Our kids loved him and felt so special with the extra attention! Will definitely stop in every time we come back to SanDiego. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
