Once the promenade around the Cardiff Castle is over, visit Nighthawks. The menu of British and French cuisines is to the pleasure of all visitors here. It's time to try good cheese toasts, grilled cheese and salami. Delicious wine gets positive reviews.

Absolutely love this place. The location is great right by the castle and we love to sit out in the Arcade which is is beautiful. Service is always great and friendly, and I appreciate that they always bring water out to start, it's a nice touch. Great selection of wines and the vegan toastie is the best I have ever had anywhere! The tomato bread is also excellent! Even in the winter a lovely spot to chill out with a cosy blanket, a glass of something delicious and some nibbles! Highly recommend. My wife and I love this place and always call in if we're in Cardiff Guys are awesome in there with super knowledge on drinks. Outstanding. Nighthawks is in the pinnacle range with regards to indie wine bars. The service is fantastic, the toasties are to die for, and the wine selection is brilliant. The guys focus on new and interesting wines, challenging the classic palate for savvy b and pinot, introducing less well-known but sublimely delicious varietals. As someone who runs another local bar, these guys are my go-to recommendation every. Single. Time. Vegetarian options: Veggie? Have a cheese toastie and some pickled balsamic onions. Job done.
