After enjoying St. John the Baptist Church, it may be a good idea to visit this bar. Most users mention that the staff is cheerful. Nice service is something visitors appreciate here. Great Negroni, good atmosphere, and 5 out of 6 of us were very happy with our drinks. Unfortunately, the sixth got their usual order (which they’ve had here 4–5 times before) and it tasted completely different this time. Fair enough — these things happen. What didn’t help was the waiter, who responded by getting defensive, rude, and generally weird rather than fixing it. Lovely bar, excellent cocktails just needs a splash more customer service. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I only knew about the existence of Nightshade due to a TikTok video, and my husband and I happened to eat at Parallel by Pasture for his birthday, so we decided to ask the obliging waitress if she could get us into Nightshade. The selection of drinks available was excellent and the pricing structure is in keeping with the other cocktail bars and upmarket restaurants in the area. The staff are very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. The decor is very stylish and art deco, and the atmosphere is calm and sophisticated. We can happily recommend. Price per person: £30–40 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
