One of the local shop owners recommended I dine at this lovely, quaint restaurant in Eski Datça. Words cannot describe the culinary masterpieces coming from this Turkish chef’s kitchen. I asked the chef to select what I should sample. Every plate was visually appealing, and the flavor combinations were amazing. The ceviche blew me away with its potpourri of various seasonal, local fish mixed with shrimps and fruits. He uses high quality olive oil with spices that elevated the dish. I could have eaten three of them in one sitting. The grilled prawns and calamari over pears and topped with Turkish pastırma was delicious. Lastly. He served cupra, a fish from this region wrapped in a huge fig leaf with capers, black olives, tomatoes and onions. Even the nearby street cats’ mouths were watering. If I could give this gem of a restaurant higher than five stars I would happily. It’s Michelin worthy and would place Datça on the culinary map. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

Nil Eski Datça is a truly lovely spot with delicious food and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The dinner was outstanding, the service felt incredibly warm, and the entire experience in their beautiful setting was wonderful—highly recommended. The leek börek and mussels were outstanding. I Don’t think I’ve been to a place quite like this. Interesting food from a chef that clearly understands flavour combinations, each plate is honestly mind-blowing. If a restaurant served even one of these plates it would be a memorable experience, yet here it’s every single plate, each different and yet so satisfying. The atmosphere and service is also impeccable, to make the entire experience my most memorable and satiating to date. This is my second visit, having come two years ago, and the experience was just as interesting, flavourful, and cozy as the first. A five star in every way, and the best restaurant I have visited in my life. I do not leave restaurant reviews usually, but this place deserves a thousand words and more, I cant wait for my next visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner
