We were auper sad to see the posted notice that the restaurant is closing at the end of August, 2026. It’s been a must visit for outstanding Sichuanese cuisine. The flavors are bold and fiery, especially the málà’s combination of hot chili peppers and tingly, mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorns. All the dishes we’ve had have been absolutely delicious. Really delicious food makes this spot a bit of a hidden gem. The dry noodles taste fresh and the wontons were great. The mapo tofu was also great and the crushed cucumbers felt like a requirement to help offset the heat. Ordering is easy via QR code and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A new favorite for us! My husband and I went to Nine Way for lunch and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the mini hot pot special, which was absolutely delicious. I chose the tomato base with pork belly, and it came with a great variety of vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, and more. Everything was flavorful and comforting. My husband ordered the spicy dry noodles with chicken, and he said they reminded him of the noodles from Din Tai Fung, which is high praise. We were both very pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The service really stood out. Our waiter went above and beyond. He helped us navigate the menu and patiently answered all of our questions. I had leftover soup and rice, and he carefully packed everything to go. It may not sound like a big deal, but when I got home and opened the soup, I noticed he had even wrapped it with saran wrap to make sure it would not spill. That level of care and thoughtfulness really made an impression. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
