It’s not typical for service and ambience to be leaps and bounds beyond the food but that was our experience here. We ordered about 6-8 dishes for 2 people. I liked the agedashi tofu and was more or less indifferent towards the others. Not bad but nothing I will remember fondly. Service was EXEMPLARY! I would expect such a high grade of service at US$200/head or more restaurants. They were responsive, kind, friendly, and professional. Ambience was a notch above what I would expect at this price point (and a notch below service). The space is large and feels nice. I think this is a really nice place to drink with a few light bites. I wouldn’t strongly recommend this place for a meal though I didn’t really dislike anything. I would very, very strongly recommend this place for a bout of before dinner, during dinner, or after dinner drinking. Food and alcohol is well priced. We paid about 3000 jpy a person for a reasonably large meal with one tokkuri of sake per person. Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
