I went there for a lunch and I should say that I am not satisfied about the food and service .I ordered sushi and California Maki , I waited around 30 min for sushi and again another 20 min for California Maki !!!!I completely lost my appetite as I waited along time for my food ! I don’t understand why they can’t serve sushi and maki at the same time ! The quality of food was not good. The California maki was cover with a layer of sesame more than enough as I only felt the taste of sesame instead of salmon or avocado ! There’s only one waitress and two person in the kitchen so the service is too much slow although they are nice and welcoming. It was disappointing experience of eating Japanese food ! I recommend them to focus more on the food and quality instead of serving free drink before food or bringing wet towel . The price is also expensive compare to low quality of ingredients.

I passed from here just because it was close to my hotel and the reviews were very good. The restaurant doesn't have big sign, it is hidden between the street of Lyon, and at the beginning I was thinking it was the classic Japanese-Chinese... But I entered and immediately i received a wonderful smile. The owner welcomed me and prepared the table.Once seated, he offered me a glass of sweet wine and the menu.I am Italian and this is the best way to welcome a guest of your restaurant. There were many choices but I decided to order a Chirashi and the California roll... I didn't wait a lot and It was all very good. The owner always served me with a wonderful smile and it was very nice. Of course, not a real Japanese, but in my experience a very good place where to eat Japanese food. At the end the owner offered me a warm towel to refresh and he was very gentle doing some joke in French (my French is not perfect, but also his French was the same). I am very satisfied of my dinner and for sure, if I will pass again from Lyon, I will pass again from Noboru. Suggested!
