Best wife ever took me to Nobu for the brunch buffet to celebrate my birthday. I'm more of a casual guy by nature so I was really impressed and a little intimidated by the luxurious atmosphere, but it was nice to experience something a bit more elegant. Overall I'd say the dining experience was really nice. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, always coming by to refill water and also folded my napkin back up for me a couple times . She was really nice to bring by a nice little birthday plate with mochi and a candle. That being said I feel like the actual food didn't really stand out too much for me. I enjoyed the sushi, which was good quality and had some nice flavour combinations. The cooked food seemed a little simple. The cod in lettuce wrap and the roast beef were probably the two standouts. I was disappointed in the duck bao as there was barely any duck in it. The rest of the dishes were things you can get at any buffet. Seeing regular sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs was a little surprising, but I guess you need something for people who are less adventurous. I also unfortunately bit into what I think was a crab shell in the ceviche. The dessert table had a lot of nicely presented desserts. I tried the tres leches, the red bean mochi and the creme brulee. I liked the first two a lot, but with the creme brulee I actually felt like I tasted the butane in the sugar crust, which was a bit off putting. Anyway all that to say it was still a neat experience and worth a try! I'm just a big value for money guy at heart and i guess if my favourite parts were sushi and roast beef I feel like there's a lot of places I can get that for cheaper.
