When the fish and chip shop is literally a stone's throw from the ocean, the last thing you expect is frozen fish... But so it was with Noonies Kiosk. As soon as I opened the box, I could see from the shape of the fillets that they had come straight out of the deep freeze. And on tasting, the awful truth was confirmed. Tasteless and deep fried in far from fresh oil, as were the chips. You are also expected to salt the chips yourself, which means the top layer of your box of chips are too salty and the underneath layers have no salt at all. Even my kids wouldn't eat the fish. I'd recommend sticking to icy poles and cold drinks and get your fish and chips down Semaphore's main drag at the excellent Soto's Fish and Chips.
