Upon entering this place is personally seated based on size. A home vibe. My first waiter was rude and inpatient with this being our 1st visit. Ran out the food I wanted and had to change options. However that coconut cornbread baby yessss. The food was absolutely worth it. I recommend and hope to be back! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I didn’t eat here am a DoorDash driver as I entered. The hostess was very nice welcoming and informative. Will try to have a dinner here sometime. I get busy dashing around! Atmosphere looked really great and smelled (food) so delicious. Meal type: Other Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

edit 2026. Came back to Nue after a few years and I have to say they’ve really stepped up the vegetarian options — I loved the Malaysian dahl! The prices felt more reasonable and I’m happy to see them keeping their classic dishes while trying out a few newer ones. previous review I have visited Nue twice, and while I’m impressed and excited by the varied menu, I’ve not been blown away by the quality of the food, especially given the price ($30+ each, not including drinks). My fellow diners enjoyed their meat-based dishes, but I was not particularly happy with the Ghanaian Red Red, especially the portion size - I was not whatsoever filled up, and three fried plantain pieces (the star of the dish IMO) was not enough tastiness to be savored. We were also rushed out at the end of the meal with the check coming while we were still eating, and we were asked to leave our table due to the restaurant closing even when there were still other diners midway through their meals and it was 15 minutes before their closing time. Overall, I wouldn’t discourage this spot for adventurous eaters to try, but I personally will not be coming back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Thanks so much for coming back Angie for noticing the changes, that really means a lot. We’ve been grinding the last couple of years to make the vegetarian/vegan dishes stronger and the prices feel more sane, even while costs keep doing their thing in Seattle. We figure we’re all on the same team so we're offering value deals wherever we can too (Sunday and Monday, chicken dinner for two plus a bottle of wine or 4 beers for $35 total :) Appreciate you taking the time to write us a review and hope to see you again soon!Chris
