Cheesecake at Numazu Riverside Hotel
Located on Agetsuchicho in Numazu, the cafe and lounge bar at the Numazu Riverside Hotel offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere to relax by the Kano River. While its name hints at being a bar, patrons should note it operates mainly during the day, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, throughout the week. The stylish interior, featuring thick carpets and elegant furnishings, creates a space where one can unwind or even have a meaningful conversation.

The establishment prides itself on its offerings of great coffee and dessert. They also serve a range of beverages, including wine, beer, and cocktails, making it a suitable spot for brunch, lunch, or an afternoon sweet treat. Afternoon tea seems to be a highlight here, described as romantic and changing with the seasons based on the limited reviews. Visitors praise its expansive selection of sweets and savories, accompanied by drinks like rich chocolate and Darjeeling tea.

Accessibility is well-considered, with wheelchair access throughout the premises, although there is mixed feedback regarding their ability to accommodate last-minute guests due to the reservation system. The cafe caters to tourists and groups, and reservations are recommended to secure a table. The hotel’s second-floor location provides river views, adding to the venue's charm, though specifics about recent visitor experiences are sparse. Information from the management could enrich potential customers' understanding of what to expect.

The staff was super professional. Very quiet hotel, there was no noise at all coming from the outside. Breakfast is abundant and variegated. Mount Fuji can be seen from the bedrooms on the west side of the hotel. Bonus points for the Yohane exposition on the second floor. Service: 5

A pleasant and well-located hotel, just a few minutes from the train station (accessible by bus). The rooms are small but functional and comfortable. The only downside: no bottled water is provided. The staff stated that the tap water is drinkable, but we preferred to buy some. For a hotel of this standard, this is truly regrettable. Service: 3
