The Irish Corner is always worth a visit. I always enjoy coming here to have a Guinness or two. The whiskey selection is also very extensive here. The staff is always very nice, friendly and accommodating, so that you always feel like you are in good hands. The only drawback is that it is a smoking bar. But that's what most pubs are like, so you should be aware of that. As a non-smoker, it doesn't bother me too much. It is a quaint pub in the middle of Plauen city center, which is always popular.
