Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing despite the restaurant’s good location. The staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming. As visitors who were new to Italy and unfamiliar with some of the menu, we expected a little guidance or recommendations. Instead, the attitude was basically “look at the menu and decide what you want,” without much effort to explain the dishes or help us choose. A little friendliness and willingness to assist would have made a big difference. The food itself was very average, and in our opinion did not justify the relatively high prices. Another issue was the seating area where we were placed, toward the far right side of the restaurant. It was extremely warm and the air conditioning was inadequate, making the meal uncomfortable. Mobile signal and internet connectivity inside were also extremely poor. Overall, neither I nor my family enjoyed the experience. Considering the prices, we expected much better food, comfort, and service. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

The worse Italian food I ever had!! Pizza are pre made disc not made by hand they just throw sauce and cheese on the my amarteciana was swimming, cold grilled chicken salad, some of the waiters have a strong under arm odor!!! I won't recommend this place to anyone!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We really enjoyed our time at Osteria da Samu! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was super authentic, and the service made the whole experience even better. Boss was simply the best – incredibly funny, welcoming, and full of positive energy. If you’re in Rome, this place is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!
