I am writing to share some feedback regarding our dining experience at Oak last night. We particularly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes appetizer and the banana panna cotta dessert, both of which were impressive. However, we found the main entrees—the New York strip, organic salmon, and meatballs—to be only average and not quite at the Michelin standard we anticipated. While the salmon skin was perfectly prepared, the accompanying umami broth unfortunately took away from it. Additionally, although the restaurant was not very busy, we experienced a 25-minute delay between our appetizer and the main courses. Given the price of the meal, the overall experience was pleasant but not as exceptional as we had hoped. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $100+

Hi Jean, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Panna Cotta. I am sorry you did not enjoy your main course. I will certainly share that feedback with our Chef. Also, I am disappointed to hear about your delay in between courses. This is not the type of experience we create at OAK, I am hoping to have the opportunity to have you back in for the type of experience you were expecting. I saw on Opentable that you were in celebrating a son going to college, I will reach out to you directly concerning another visit to to OAK. Regards, Craig Biggins General Manager

Wow. The food was out of this world. 35oz ribeye, amazing. Usually not a fan of family style services, but there was plenty of food for everyone. The time between courses was great, not rushed, but not twiddling your thumbs either. Well done. Full disclosure, this was a business meal, so I didn't see the full bill, but man, the experience was amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+ Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend

Exceptional meal at Oak at Fourteenth. Pictured here we started with the kale salad which was very fresh & was an ample serving to share for 2pl. We moved onto the fried green tomatoes. This was a unique preparation as the tomato is pickled and topped with crab meat. This was excellent. For entrees we had the meatballs & the scallops. Both excellent. Although we felt that the meatballs should be an appetizer as is or beefed up with some delicious veggie for the entree. For dessert we tried the olive oil bread. This was light & refreshing.
