Nice and clean rooms, could use outlets on both sides of the bed, maybe even USB ports. Pool closed at 10pm, too early, lights around the pool turned off at 9:40pm ????

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during a visit to Mayo Clinic, which I could see out my room's windows, only half a block away. Paying extra for the concierge level is definitely worth it! Your room's key card gives you 24-hour access to the concierge lounge. The lounge includes comfortable seating and numerous tables, for eating, relaxation, conversation, watching the large television or for working. The view out the lounge windows allows one to see Rochester for miles around. The breakfast in the concierge lounge has much to choose from including several hot choices, fresh fruit, cereals, muffins, bagels, yogurt, several beverages and more! During the late morning and afternoon hours guests on the concierge floors can help themselves to snacks in the lounge which includes fruit, sweets, yogurt and a variety of hot and cold beverages. In the early evening there is a bountiful selection of food to choose from, which for some people is enough for supper/dinner. I certainly ate enough food in the lounge to make up for the extra cost of my concierge level room, instead of paying expensive prices in restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Also, the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Pillows were plentiful and plush. The mini-fridge in the room and ironing board were appreciated, however it would be nice to have a small microwave too. ALSO: The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. NEGATIVES: 1) The shower floor was SO slippery that I had to put a towel on the floor of it to avoid falling down; very dangerous. 2) The toilet was so low to the floor that it hurt my hips to get down that low! 3) Room rates are the highest early in the week since that's when most Mayo Clinic patients begin their visit. Rates later in the week are often about half of what they are on Sunday-Tuesday nights. It cost me about $1600 for only 5 nights at this hotel!
