I recently hosted my mom’s birthday party at Obaid’s Kitchen, and while the initial communication could have been clearer—I struggled to get a solid answer on the cost and felt a bit lost until the day of the event—everything else was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, the staff was incredibly hospitable, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food was exceptional—flavorful, perfectly prepared, and truly authentic Syrian (Middle Eastern cuisine). We even had special dishes made that aren’t on the menu, such as lamb stuffed with grape leaves and chicken with فريكة (freekeh), a traditional Arabic dish. Ahmad also baked my mom’s birthday cake. Despite the early uncertainty, I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. If you’re looking for great service and incredible, authentic delicious Middle Eastern food, I highly recommend them! Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best Mediterranean food in south OC!!!! Straight up nothing can touch the quality of this place with the meat so soft juicy flavorful and tender fresh it was definitely there with the quality for the Shawarma the kebabs we ordered the $80 plate that feeds five people technically for us became with several sides such a great deal!!! He also ordered the Arabian style Shawarma plate and it came with bacon and chicken, and those were also great!!! Will you go to several Middle Eastern spots anything from Syrian down to Lebanese and this place was IT!!!!! A MUST VISIT. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Obaid Kitchen restaurant , and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding — each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The Mediterranean flavors were authentic and fresh, from the perfect rotisserie chicken to the vibrant mezze platters. The hummus was creamy and the baklava for dessert was the perfect sweet ending. What truly set this place apart, however, was the service. The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.
