Chinese cuisine can be tried here. Taste good shrimp dumplings, pork and perfectly cooked manapua. The motto of this restaurant is low prices for flavorful meals. But yelp displays that the rating of Ocean Dim Sum is not high.

Tried to go here but it was closed. You can see fan spinning but door was locked. Yelp said it was open till 5:30p. What a way to have a business your information not updated..

I tried some of their items when they had a booth at a Mililani High School craft fair. They had a nice variety of pre-packaged dim sum items, such as manapua, pork hash, gaugee, etc. I don't eat pork or beef so I was pleased to see they had a curry chicken manapua flavor. I bought it!! I didn't care for it. There wasn't much filling to begin with, and the flavor of the curry wasn't spectacular. My boyfriend tried their gaugee. I'm not sure if he liked it or not. I did really enjoy their coconut gindoi. I was so bummed I didn't buy a few more when I got home. Maybe it was good that I didn't since I'm sure it's rich in calories...it is oily and deep fried after all. Nonetheless, it was ono!

Not bad for the price and outside of Chinatown. I've only come here for pork hash, rice cake, and the baked char siu manapua. It seems they've changed ownership a few times, because I'm still unsure of their actual business name. Is it Ocean Dim Sum or Hawaii Manapua? Or both? I don't know but the workers are always nice and helpful when I visit. They are closed on certain days, and the hours are inconsistent so I'd call before you decide to make the drive out. The pork hash has visible chunks of fat, but it actually tastes pretty fresh and not too salty. The manapua was also good, but a little stingy on the filling. Rice cake, can't really screw that up...all in all, these treats reminded me of my childhood when the manapua man in the white van visited our neighborhood after school. Don't expect fancy dumplings or hand-pulled noodles, but if you have a hankering for dim-sim'ish food, this place just might hold you over until you get the real stuff. Will be back again if I'm in the area and need a quick bite!
