They did it again !! An amazing meal and great service from Sandy at Just Hooked in Fenwick. This is our third time at Hooked concept and each one has been a treat. So many people love Sodel and I think their concepts are good but no where near the caliber of what Steve and the team at Hooked have done!
Delicious food in a clean slick beach-themed environment. The cocktail choice of the White Summer Sangria reminded me summer is not over, plus it was very refreshing after a long drive from PA! Your Off The Hook Crab Dip was served warm w/soft pretzels was a perfect starter. Shrimp Primavera was in abundance & a palate pleaser.
Appreciate your staff member Ray, from your original restaurant @ Just Hooked (which had no dinner seating available for us), recommended your new added location. Best of luck. Hope to revisit either location again real soon! Thank you.
I have been going to Off the Hook in Bethany for close to 10 years all while experiencing great food and service. However, after tonight’s visit I am beyond disappointed. With the current Covid regulations in place. It was disappointing to see several key employees walking around either not wearing or wearing their masks incorrectly and it did not seem that the 30% occupancy was being followed.
We were greeted at the door by the hostess that was not wearing her mask correctly and the other hostess was not wearing a mask at all. There were several times that I overheard the Manager make off the cuff comments that he didn’t agree with the regulations. It is not his job to agree or disagree with the regulations but to follow them. I also observed the two gentlemen behind the bar removing their masks regularly. Menus we’re reused after being at a table and patrons were walking in the door/waiting to be seated without masks on. Additionally, I observed several of the cooks/chefs not wearing their masks correctly (below their noses). With this restaurant being completely open, (kitchen, bar, seating) EVERYONE should be following the guidelines. In this time of heightened awareness it is beyond important that all of your staff followed the required guidelines for the safety of your patrons.
As a comparison, I was at a SoDel restaurant earlier in the week and EVERYONE followed the guidelines. In fact I was greeted in the parking lot and was asked if I had reservations and was told I needed to put a mask on.
Please start having your employees set a better example of the guidelines. It would be a shame if the health department came in and shut your establishment down because you weren’t following the guidelines. Too many of your employees are depending on you and your business to support themselves and their families.
