In case the rain took you by surprise during the promenade around Tenso Shrine, stop by this restaurant. If you like the Japanese cuisine, you should visit Okitsu. The high ratings of this place wouldn't be possible without the well-trained staff. Google users awarded this spot 4.5.

Came with friends for dinner because most other places in the area are closed by 10 pm. Just to be upfront, none of us spoke Japanese, and the staff unfortunately did not speak any English. All 3 of us ordered the sashimi set. Food arrived shortly, and the portions were questionable. The sashimi was 1800 yen, and the plum wine was 550. They originally charged us 1100 yen each because they apparently thought we wanted one sashimi set split 3 ways, and then later revised it to 2350 each. We cut our losses and went to a convenience store to finish the meal. It may have been a case of misplaced expectations, but I was not satisfied with the meal for the price. The bill kerfuffle further added to the confusion, and the onus was solely on us for not being able to communicate in japanese. For this reason, I cannot recommend this place if no one in your party speaks japanese, nor will I recommend an izakaya in general for anyone looking for dinner. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
