Going to solving at Christmas time has been sort of a family tradition. One of the places we stop by is here for the amazing fresh baked pretzels. I can honestly say you won't find a better pretzel. Warm and chewy. You have to get it with the cheddar cheese. Eat it while it's hot. Most people just stand or sit on a bench just outside.

We went to Solvang a week ago and stopped by the Old Danish fudge kitchen and bought 3 flavors for fudge...and it has lasted us until now. I think they make everything in house and you could certainly smell the sweet aroma of sugar, caramel, and chocolate near the store; heavenly. There was a line going out the door but it's a small store with no seating available. That said the line moved fast and the people at the counter were all smiles. The fudge comes in a size like a slice of bread but quadruple the thickness....you get a lot of fudge! Wow, their fudge is decadent, sweet and creamy...I don't think we knew what we were doing when we ordered 3 flavors...because it's a lot! For most of those in our family a teaspoon full of this fudge was a lot, which is why it lasted this long! What they offer here is a true guilty pleasure worth every bite and visit!
