You can come to this bar after visiting George Street. Do not go away without tasting perfectly cooked sandwiches. It might be cool to enjoy delicious gin, whiskey or beer. Most reviewers have noticed that you can drink good tea at Old Mate's Place.

I had been craving some philly cheese steaks before and knew Old Mates Place could fulfil the crave. Their Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches are the best ever in Sydney, I asked the server for recommendations and got the spicy chorizo sandwich; it was beautifully greasy, tender, rich and savoury. Along with it, I got a Pandang Airways, a strawberry, gin, and coconut, which isn't strongly alcoholic and is very refreshing. Overall, I had a great time at Old Mates Place even by myself, the customer service was perfect, I was constantly replenished with water, made great small talk with the servers, and felt so inviting and comfortable. The place inside is quite dark but not hard to manoeuvre around. Some may find it hard to get upstairs even with the elevator. But overall I'm excited to visit again, and will be sure to bring more people in next time.
