Wonderful place and the food is out of this world!
Five stars for dinner. But two stars for brunch. On Friday night, we had a fantastic dinner here. It started with a surprisingly good salad. It was arugula and shaved radishes with a light lemony dressing. I was amazed at how good it tasted. I wanted to slowly consume each morsel. I ordered the ROASTED PANKO HADDOCK with Butterflied Shrimp, Citrus Beurre Blanc, Roasted Potatoes, Asparagus. It was very tasty and cooked right. I enjoyed it. My wife had the SOLE PICCATA in Lemon Butter, Capers, Shallots, with Angel Hair pasta. Also extremely nice. They really know how to prepare seafood here. So, I am on board. We enjoyed it so much, the the signs that claimed "Best Sunday Brunch on Cape Cod" convinced is to come back. Sad mistake. The brunch is extremely bland and uninspired. We both ordered the Eggs Benedict. Sadly, it tasted like it had been sitting on s warming tray for 20 minutes. My guess is that they make these in batches and bring them out as needed. They do make omlettes to order, but that does not require a lot of effort. The hot foods in the buffet were more like like warm foods. There was some unidentified seafood in a tortilla that scared me. There was something else in a cream sauce. The roasted potatoes were good. But, overall, I was quite disappointed. So, bottom line, dinner great... Brunch not so much.
Absolutely incredible restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and waitstaff are all top-notch. I love coming here with my family, both their dinners and their Sunday brunch are fabulous. I highly recommend trying the Old Yarmouth Inn!
