Great local, casual Italian restaurant with a Japanese flair. The fish carpaccio was so fresh and came topped with chopped parsley and tiny anchovies, prefect balanced with olive oil and acid. For my pasta dish I showed for their recommendation which their little neck clam spaghetti. It was simple but so flavorful! The clam liquor, butter, chopped cabbage, and ever so slight hint of chili pepper was savory and very satisfying. I personally like just a dusting of parmesan to add even more umami, but it was fantastic stand alone. The 2 chefs are not your typical looking Japanese chefs, which made the experience that much more hip. The space itself is filled with eclectic art and feels like it's been there for decades. A warm and spotless restaurant with excellent service. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and the food is absolutely exquisite—top quality!
