There are menus, but I highly recommended being guided by the owner. We booked as it was fish night, but our son prefers meat, so the owner recommended the lamb and basically took care of the starters and everything else for us. The starters were a delight and the mains all cooked to perfection - if you can, if you have room, definitely try the deserts. Let the magic happen and you will be delighted. A gem. Price per person: €30–35

Wonderful little Taberna with amazing local (organic) produce - all the food is locally grown and fresh. Amazing flavours and the best meal we’ve had in the entire week we were on Crete. Very social and great ambience. Very reasonably priced - 3 courses and it ended up at just under 20 euros per person :). Boht zabardast khana. Taza aur lazeez. Laug bhi boht achaay hein. Achi keemat. Fantastisk god färsk mat (organiska råvaror) från byn. Trevlig miljö och kan varmt rekommendera det. Prisvärt. Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Amazing Zuchini flour balls and fresh large brown beans.

Andonis and his family are just wonderful! We were made to feel like family with each visit to their restaurant. Our accommodation was close by The Olive and each day Andonis provided our family with a culinary gift. We ate here multiple times and the food was exceptional each time. I high recommend dining at The Olive!
